How could an event called PAWStronomical not be good?
I’ve been remiss in posting about pet-related items and events, so I wanted to make sure I posted about this educational event (that will also have vendors!). If you want to learn about your pet’s health and what to do to help your pet in case of an emergency, then you should check out PAWStronomical, an annual pet health fair organized by the Volunteers of the Burbank Animal Shelter. You’ll learn pet CPR, how to help a chocking animal and how to perform a head-to-tail checkup. And there will be raffle prizes, including gift certificates for animal massages and Disneyland tickets.
Here are the details:
April 17, 2010
9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Woodbury University Auditorium
7500 Glenoaks Blvd., Burbank, CA 91510
Tickets: $15 advance/$20 at door (children under 12: $5 advance/$10 at door)
Raffle tickets: $1 for one ticket; $5 for six; $10 for 12.
Dear Maya,
Thank you so much for letting your readers know where they can learn animal life-saving skills. One lady who attended last year’s event pulled her drowning cat from a swimming pool shortly thereafter, and remembering what she learned…performed rescue breathing and saved the kitty’s life. We will share other success stories at this year’s PAWStronomical Event and even give out a few Pet Hero Awards to humans who have made a difference in an animal’s life by knowing Pet First-Aid & CPR. Hope to see you and your readers there!
This is wonderful. Definitely something great for any pet owner. I wish there was one here in the South Bay too!
