Ari Soffer makes his debut on Robertson
Ari Soffer, outfitter of leather and studs to the rock n’ roll crowd, has opened a flagship store for his line, Soffer Ari, on Robertson Boulevard (that’s South Robertson, by the way – with all the vacancies on that stretch of the street, he must have gotten a good deal on rent). The store, which held an opening party last week, features Soffer’s intricate leatherwear, innovative belt buckles and edgy jewelry, among other items.
One of the cooler items I saw was a $400 razor blade pendant necklace (pictured below).
TY KU sake, which comes in four traditional and flavored varieties, provided the drinks for the event. I had the Tainted Love cocktail made with TY KU liqueur, which is actually a soju blended with yuzu, mangosteen, goji berry, honeydew, green tea and ginseng, mixed with Sprite. It was a little girly with the fruity flavors, but it tasted good and wasn’t overly sweet.
Apparently Joel Madden DJed the event, but he must have gotten there after I left because I didn’t see him!
Haha! Yeah Joel Madden was there at some point. But how exciting for a flagship Soffer Ari store, FINALLY?! I thought that Ari and TY KU were a good match for the event!
Looooooooooooooooooooove Ari Soffer. Sad I missed the party with the booze!
I STILL have yet to go to Soffer Ari! I don’t know why I’ve put it off for so long.
Enormous fan of Ari Soffer jewelry! How much more interesting would the store be if there was ALWAYS ty ku being served??
